Vom Enfant Terrible zum Sandbahnchampion

Bereits als Welpe zählte Washari schon zu den Temperamentsvollsten unter den 8 Geschwistern, die bei dem Züchterehepaar Bergmann super sozial aufwachsen durften. Der Zufall wollte es, dass ihre ebenso quirlige Schwester Wasaya und Bruder Wayun auch nach Südhessen zogen und sich die drei Geschwister ab uns an gemeinsam auspowern konnten. Aber das genügte dem Energielevel von Washari nicht. So fiel nach einem Jahr die Entscheidung, eine weitere gleichaltrige Hündin als Sparringpartner in die Familie zu holen.  Washari durfte sich  ihre Freundin selbst aussuchen. Ihre Wahl fiel auf Kenya (Lotos Blossom Touch of Paradise) - eine Freundschaft fürs Leben und ihre Trainingspartnerin auf der Bahn in Offenbach und Hünstetten bzw. auch mal im offenen Gelände oder im Urlaub am Strand.

Während Kenya 2017 bei offiziellen Rennen pfeilschnell war, neigte Washari eher dazu mit andern Hunden rumzualbern, was ihrer „Leistung" nicht gerade förderlich war. So wurde Washari zu Beginn der Rennsaison 2018 zunächst - mangels B-Afghanen - beim 1. Champions-League-Lauf in Landstuhl nur als „Quoten-Afghane“ eingesetzt. Das Unerwartete geschah: Kenya bekam ein n.d. und Washari erlief sich Platz 1. Und genau das Gleiche ereignete sich in den Läufen 3. und 4. der Champions-League. Nichts konnte Washari aus dem Konzept bringen, auch nicht der als Hase gezogene „Plüschbär“ in Hamburg, womit sie sich den Landessiegertitel Nord – Mecklenburg-Vorpommern und gleichzeitig den Champions-League-Titel sichern konnte.

Aber ganz nebenbei: beim 5. Lauf der Championsleague in Hünstetten belegte Washari „nur“ Platz 3. Der 1. Platz ging an ihre Lieblingsschwester Wasaya. Und beim Verbandssieger-Rennen in Köln schaffte es Washari auch „nur“ auf Platz 2, da holte sich nämlich ihre Freundin Kenya den Verbandsieger-Renntitel. Jedoch konnte sich Washari durch das CAC bei der Ausstellung den Verbandssiegertitel „Schönheit und Leistung Rennen“ sichern. Da Washari in 2018 aber auch das Coursinggelände für sich entdeckt hat, hat sie gleichzeitig noch den Verbandssiegertitel „Schönheit und Leistung Coursing“ ergattert.

Washari auf Platz 1

Ende 2018 gewann  Washari dann noch den 1. Platz mit CACL das Herbstcoursing in Volkmarsen und erlief sich durch ihre stetige Rennleistung mit dem Platz 2 in Tüttleben die Goldene Renndecke.

Bedingt durch die Läufigkeit und konkurrierender Termine lag die sportliche Aktivtät im Jahr 2019 vermehrt auf Cousing- Veranstaltungen. Washari hat mittlerweiler selbst auf fremden Gelände oft den richtigen "Instinkt", so dass sie vermehrt anfängt "abzukürzen". Da das Wertungs-Kriterium "Intelligenz" seit 2019 nicht mehr gewünscht war, sondern eher die reine "Verfolgung", waren die Punkte nicht mehr so üppig. Hinzu kam, dass sich ihre Taktik  für sie lohnte, schaffte sie immer häufiger das Häschen zu erwischen...Erfolgerlebnis für sie, schlechte Konditionierung im Sinne der Coursing-Regeln. Nicht desto trotz macht es der Maus weiterhin umsomehr Spass dem flatterden Band hinterher zu jagen. Beim Renntraining auf der heimischen Bahn beim CWF Frankfurt in Offenbach gibt Washari weiterhin alles.

Besonders liebt sie jedes Treffen mit ihrer Lieblingsschwester Wasaya und ist stets begeistert, wenn die Walther´sche Meute mit Familie Kappes gemeinsam auf die Sportveranstaltungen fährt, Ausflüge unternimmt und Urlaube miteinander verbringt.

 From the "enfant terrible" to the sand track champion

Even as a puppy, Washari was one of the most spirited among the 8 siblings who were allowed to grow up super socially with her breeder couple Ramona und Hermann Bergmann. By chance it had happened  that her equally lively sister Wasaya and brother Wayun also moved to southern Hessen and the three siblings can let off steam together. But that wasn't enough for Washari's energy level. So after a year the decision was made to bring another bitch of the same age into the family as a kind of sparring partner. Washari was allowed to choose her friend herself. Her choice fell on Kenya (Lotos Blossom Touch of Paradise) - a friendship for life and her training partner on the track in Offenbach and Hünstetten or sometimes in the open country or on vacation on the beach.

While Kenya was as fast as an arrow in official races in 2017, Washari tended to fool around with other dogs, which was not exactly conducive to their "performance". At the race in Landstuhl Washari was only used as a “quota Afghan.” The unexpected happened: Kenya got an “not through” and Washari came in first. Exactly the same thing happened in two other rating races of the Champions League. Nothing could upset her, not even the "plush bear" raised as a rabbit in Hamburg, with which she was able to win the state winner title North - Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and at the same time the Champions League title.

But by the way: at the 5th round of the Champions League in Hünstetten, Washari “only” gained the 3rd place. 1st place went to her favorite sister Wasaya. And at the association winner race in Cologne, Washari “only” made it to second place, because her friend Kenya won the association winner race title. However, Washari was able to win the association winner title "Beauty and Performance Race" through the CAC at the exhibition. Since Washari also discovered the lure coursing area for herself in 2018, she also won the association title “Beauty and Performance Coursing”.

Due to hormonal season and competing dates, the sporting activity in 2019 was increasingly concentrated on lure coursing events. Meanwhile, Washari often has the right "instinct" even on unfamiliar terrain, so that she more and more begins to make “shortcuts". Since the evaluation criterion "intelligence" was no longer desired since 2019, but rather the pure "pursuit", the points were no longer so generous. In addition, her tactics paid off for her, because she managed to catch the bunny more and more often ... Successful experience for her, poor conditioning according to the coursing rules. Nevertheless, our little clever girl continues to enjoy chasing after the fluttering tape above over. Washari continues to give everything in race training on the home track at the CWF Frankfurt in Offenbach.
